Day 13

Tonight my photo is 'silliness with Sara'. Backstage  during the show tonight Sara decided to make british wedding hats for herself and Mr. Hoskin (arsenic's stage dummy) and have a photo shoot she called "Mr. Hoskin always upstages me".

Day 12

Hopkins cinema. A landmark I pass every day. Still lit up tonight for a few more minutes. 

Day 11

Another rainy/ snowy spring day. So I decided it was the perfect day to get a night shot of the new 35W bridge with the lights on under it.  I tried a few zoomed in on the bridge itself but was having a hard time getting a clear picture due to low light so I decided I liked the wide shot better. With the lights in the mill ruins and the yellow lights under the stone arch bridge and the city lights in the back ground, combined with the clouds and smoke stack in the sky this could almost be a scene from a sci fi movie.

Day 10

Today I had a hard time being inspired by any pictures. Probably because it was raining, again. I was taking random pics around work trying to find an interesting and unique angle on some thing. The best one to come out was this one where you can look through a glass door at the reflection of the escalator with more reflections on the glass door and some gobo images on the walls.

Day 9

Tonight I visited the "amazing mirror maze" at MOA. It was quite fun, but short. I got a great shot of what looks like a long hall but it was strategically placed mirrors that went around in a circle. In the higher rez photo I zoomed in on the dark at the end of the 'hall' and I think our shadows are reflected back at us reversed.

Day 8

The sun was actually shining today and it was almost warm out. Bikes and bike riders were out in droves. Outside my work I saw 2 bikes locked on the same post. I thought the shadows depicted the sunshine quite well.

Day 7

It's still cold and dreary out so I was only able to make myself go outside for 10 minutes this afternoon, but I got another neat shot of the Stone Arch Bridge over St. Anthony Falls with the spray of mist rising in the background. I really liked the arches from the 3rd Street bridge in there too.

Day 6

Whew! long day... and either the weather influenced my mood or my mood was perfectly portrayed by the gloomy weather tonight so a photo of the raindrops on the window seemed fitting. Under exposing the background helped to focus on the raindrops.

Day 5

Today I went for a walk in Valley Park in Hopkins just to see what I could find. The trees budding and green starting to appear is always nice after winter comes to an end, but just as I was about to leave I saw a little mallard floating down the creek and I decided he was going to be my picture today.

Day 4

Woke up to snow this morning. It made the trees outside my window look flocked, so it became my photo topic of the day.

Day 3

Today was cloudy and gloomy and they kept threatening snow in the forecast so I didn't venture outside for photos today. I tried some unusual angles of my house plants. This is a shot of an Arrowhead leaf through the branches of a Norfolk Pine.

Day 2

Walking around Hopkins I was near Maetzold Field/ park and was drawn to the flag on the flag pole. It too me several shots to catch the flag moving because there wasn't much wind today.

Day 1

April 17th, first day of picture taking. St. Anthony Falls in Minneapolis. I really liked how the mist from the churning water created a soft fog over the harsh waves.
