May drawing 1

Here is my first drawing for this month. Hoping to finish 2 more this next week.

I can't decide if the caption should be "Riding along in my Automobile" or " Can I get fries with that".

April 2013

During April I realized that I was have a hard time taking photos regularly enough to keep posting every week. So I decided yet again to change the nature of this blog.  I'm now going to incorporate illustration by choosing photos that I use as a template in Illustrator to then draw clip art styled picture. Below are the 2 photos I chose for April of my nieces.

This is the first photo taken on my phone, followed by the drawing I made.

Week 11

This week's photo is another snowy scene, but I was using manual focus to get more of the snow flakes falling in front of the background. Then I added a black and white filter in Photoshop which helped making the snow stand out from the trees and house.

Week 7

We got several snow storms this past month so my catch up posts are several snowy scenes.  I love the contrast between the dark trees and the coating of snow on top of them.
