Day 74

Caught the sun shinning through some clouds creating a nice sunbeam effect tonight on my way to work.

I went to Shady Oak Beach today to take some photos of the lake and enjoy the weather. There were too many people on the beach soI walked over the fishing pier and took some shots there. I really liked how the wind made waves and the water reflected the sun back like mini flash bulbs.

I went for a walk this evening and took many pictures along the way, but I liked this one the best because it just said "summer" to me. I know most people wouldn't use a photo with sun glare on the lens, but the sun shining and the tree lined path just felt so wonderful.

Went for a walk in Bryant Lake Park today and I saw a little chipmunk eating some Cheetos that had been dropped on the sidewalk.

Day 69 (Friday)

Yesterday I actually forgot to take my camera with me all day. So I was thinking I would just pick 2 today, but then I remembered this photo I took of the flag in central park in Hopkins and decided it should be the photo for yesterday.  I really liked the symmetry of the light poles and how the tip of the flag was in mid furl in the breeze.

I tried an experiment tonight.  Basillica at night.

As I was driving home tonight I had to take a few photos of the city skyline again almost obscured by the rain and fog.

Went for a quick walk during dinner tonight. Found some happy wild flowers in a bed of clover.

tonight I seized the opportunity for an impromptu photo shoot in the dressing room on a 10 minute break. The ladies decided to take a group photo so I took some from the side. shown in photo: Christina Baldwin, Seri Johnson, Timotha Lanae, Heather Lindell, Tinia Moulder, Simone Perrin. Day 59

today we started tech for HMS Pinafore and I was amazed at the fasteners in the petty-coats and costumes for the ladies. This photo is just a petty-coat with a built in bustle that has hooks, snaps, and a zipper. I think I shall call this "Warning: no emergency exit!"

Day 58

I stopped at the little lake and road side park on Shady Oak Rd between hwy7 and main st Hopkins to take some pictures of the lake in the sunlight and came across a duck "couple" sunning on the shore but they got scared off when I walked up and they took off swimming into the lake. I snapped pictures as fast as I could and I liked the ripples in the water in this one and the way the water reflected the greenery like glass.

Day 57

A dog and his rope are never separated. Thunder (German Shepard) decided the rope was his absolute favorite toy and he can't go anywhere without it.

Day 56 (Saturday)

We went for a nice bike ride through Baker Park Reserve. Lightening (Alaskan husky) Loves to run and she was a trooper on our 8 mile ride.  I should add I was riding my bike behind them while taking the picture so if you look closely at the bottom edge you can see the ground movement.

Day 55 (friday)

Got to the campground just in time for a campfire. Got great coals.

In honor of today's record high temps, I photographed a bank sign that couldn't handle the 3 digits, so it only put up the last 2.

Snapped a couple shots of the end of this morning's marathon from the 8th floor at work. Runner's  crossing the finish line on West River Road.

Found some type of roses in a park along the river today.

I went for a short walk outside on my dinner break to night and found the resident ducks of Gold Medal park sitting in the grass again.

Day 47 (thursday)

My friend Sara does a regular installment on her blog called "I can fit in there" and tonight  got to be her photographer so the photo I chose is "there are 3 bodies in the window seat tonight" on the set of Arsenic and Old Lace.

Took a walk in central park again today. I was drawn to the shadow of the volleyball nets on the sand.
