365 day photo project

I love photography and want to get out and take more pictures so I'm starting this project to display 1 photo a day that I take somewhere at some point during my day.

Day 106

Sara wanted to do another "I can fit in there" photo shoot today. This one is a shelf in a prop cart.

Day 105

Went for a short walk between shows today. I thought this shot was a perfect description for  a wonderful afternoon. Blue sky with just a few fluffy clouds and lots of sunshine.

Day 104

Another day of self portrait shots. This time I was working indoors and experimenting with using a flash and adjusting the aperture and shutter speed to reduce the flash wash out. It took a lot of trial and error and I tried on most of my closet in outfits, but I liked this shot the best. Hopefully this will make me more comfortable in front of the camera. I think by the time I got to this shot I was starting to have fun.

Day 100

Since it's day 100 I wanted the picture to be special and decided to wait till dusk and try to get a photo of the sunset. Suddenly wishing for fewer trees in the Metro so I could actually SEE the horizon. I drove west and north and luckily happened upon a lake that was big enough to give a view of the sunset and it was beautiful.

Day 99

Went to the MN Zoo today with my family,  but mainly for my niece. Funniest sight was the camels all up to their necks in the pond. Guess they thought it was hot too.

Day 98

Walked across the Stone arch bridge again today, and got a shot of the Guthrie from almost directly straight on. The sky was such a uniform cloudy that it has almost no definition at all.

Day 97

Today I decided to try a self portrait with my bike.  New challenges in working with a timer on the camera.

Day 95

Tried a new angle of the Hopkins clock tower at night. Not sure why the clock face looked green...

Day 94

Warm and muggy today. My camera lens kept fogging up on me, so the shots I thought I was going to like this morning were not as good as hoped. This lilly pad and water lilly shot was the best one of the non- foggy ones.

Day 92

Hopkins Raspberry Festival Grand Day Parade today. I liked several of the shots I got today. Had a great spot to get pictures. I liked this one because of the perspective of the long line of firetrucks.

Day 91

Forgot my camera and had to work all day. So here is another shot of the rain from yesterday.

Day 90

Wow I made 3 months. Today we had torrential rain storms. And as I was looking out  the window this morning I decided to try different settings on my camera to see if I could catch the rain drops on the street. As you can see they were very large drops and were hitting the street so hard the bounced back up.

Day 87

This picture is for Carrie Monroe. Pink Vespa on the sidewalk. I'm tickled by the watermelon ad on the front of the newspaper stand right beside it.

Day 85

Sunshine in the park, and they installed 2 new benches.

Day 85

A little squirrel was standing in the street just looking about this morning, so I took his picture. I didn't want to scare him away so I had to take the picture through my blinds.

Day 84

Today there was a wedding party that came to our building (Guthrie) to take photos. It was rather windy out this afternoon and the buildings help accentuate it too. These little flowers girls arrived and in addition to the wind, they were constantly moving and bouncing around in front of the window.  From where I was on the 2nd floor I couldn't get a clear shot with out the structure beam in the way, but as one of my co-workers mentioned "they look like little cotton balls blowing around in the wind". They were so cute.
