365 day photo project
I love photography and want to get out and take more pictures so I'm starting this project to display 1 photo a day that I take somewhere at some point during my day.

Cascade River State park
Here are some more photos of the falls at Cascade River state park.
The natural minerals in the runoff that feeds the falls causes the brownish tint in the water. The water was crashing hard and causing foam too so they refer to it as the "beer effect".

May drawing 1
Here is my first drawing for this month. Hoping to finish 2 more this next week.
I can't decide if the caption should be "Riding along in my Automobile" or " Can I get fries with that".

April 2013
During April I realized that I was have a hard time taking photos regularly enough to keep posting every week. So I decided yet again to change the nature of this blog. I'm now going to incorporate illustration by choosing photos that I use as a template in Illustrator to then draw clip art styled picture. Below are the 2 photos I chose for April of my nieces.
This is the first photo taken on my phone, followed by the drawing I made.
This is the second photo, also taken on my phone, followed by the drawing.

Week 11
This week's photo is another snowy scene, but I was using manual focus to get more of the snow flakes falling in front of the background. Then I added a black and white filter in Photoshop which helped making the snow stand out from the trees and house.
Week 7
We got several snow storms this past month so my catch up posts are several snowy scenes. I love the contrast between the dark trees and the coating of snow on top of them.

Week 6
In tech at work thins week so as I was waiting around for a quick change I was looking up into the grid and thought the disappearing lines of the fly loft were intriguing. So I took a few shots with my ipod and I liked this one the best.

Week 5
It snowed. A LOT this week. So I decided to try using the manual focus setting on my camera to see if I could take a picture of the snow flakes falling against the backdrop of some pine trees. It was marginally successful since the sky was very white too and the snow flakes didn't look as big in the shot as they did in real life, but it was fun playing with the focus.

Week 3
This photo was taken on my ipod after the December snow storm. I liked the contrast of the snow on the trees against the blue sky.

Week 2
Angel in a window. The snow outside the window was so brightly white that I couldn't get any definition out of the photo.

Week 1
This is a photo I took in Iowa back in December of my Grandma's farm just after a snow storm blanketed it with snow.
Ok, Starting over for this year and trying another 52 week project. Maybe I will make it through the whole year.
